Note: Refers to the activity of taking photographs from aircraft. The term may also be used to refer to any photography from the air, including photographs obtained by cameras mounted on aircraft, rockets, or Earth-orbiting satellites and other spacecraft. The purpose of photography from airborne or spaceborne vehicles is generally to provide information on ground features for military and other reconnaissance, or to record the dimensional disposition of such features for surveying or mapmaking. To refer specifically only to photography taken from beyond the Earth's atmosphere, use "space photography"; for photography of celestial phenomena, use "astronomical photography." When emphasis is on the view achieved by photographing from aircraft or other high locations, use "aerial views."

| Dutch ..... Verwijst naar het nemen van foto's vanuit een luchtvaartuig. De term kan ook in het algemeen worden gebruikt voor foto's die vanuit de lucht worden genomen, bijvoorbeeld foto's die zijn genomen door camera's die op luchtvaartuigen, raketten, satellieten om de aarde en andere ruimtevaartuigen zijn bevestigd. Terminit võib kasutada ka mis tahes õhust tehtud piltide kohta, sealhulgas fotode puhul, mis on tehtud õhusõidukitele, rakettidele ja Maa orbiidil paiknevatele satelliitidele või muudele kosmosesõidukitele paigaldatud fotokaameratega. El término se puede también utilizar para referir a cualquier fotografía del aire, incluyendo las fotografías obtenidas por las cámaras fotográficas montadas en avión, naves espaciales o de los satélites en orbita. El propósito de la fotografía en los vehículos aerotransportados es generalmente proporcionar la información de las características de tierra y de los usos militares desarrollados por las naciones. También se utilizan como reconocimiento, o la cartografía.
