Spanish ..... Término general para referirse a piezas grandes de artillería, desarrolladas en Europa desde el siglo XIV, consistentes básicamente en un cañón largo de hierro, bronce o acero, de ánima lisa, fundido en una pieza o armado mediante una serie de piezas de hierro fundido, montado sobre un carro o una soporte fijo, capaz de disparar proyectiles muy pesados.
