Note: Refers to the style and period that coincided with the reign of Bayazid I, named "Thunderbolt" beacuse of the speed with which he maneuvered his troops, 1389 to 1402. He is best known for his construction of the "Great" mosque of Bursa, founded in 1390, but substantially finished in 1395. It comprised a mosque, baths, and a small palace within an irregular wall enclosure. The plan and scale of the mosque is like that of Murad I, but is of cut stone masonry without with some marble. The walls of the chambers that housed the dervish pilgrims were decorated with flowers and once polychromed. The porch of stone and marble is the first major Ottoman portico. Also of mention is the Dar al Shifa, or teaching hospital of 1400.

| Dutch ..... Verwijst naar de stijl en periode die samenvielen met de heerschappij van Bajezid I (ook wel 'bliksemschicht' genoemd vanwege de snelheid waarmee hij zijn troepen verplaatste) van 1389 tot 1402. Hij staat het best bekend om de bouw van de 'Grote moskee' van Bursa, waaraan in 1390 werd begonnen en die in 1395 werd voltooid. Het hele complex omvatte een moskee, baden en een klein paleis, binnen een onregelmatig gevormde muur. De indeling en de schaal van de moskee hebben veel weg van de moskee van Moerad I, maar hier is metselwerk van gehakte steen gecombineerd met een beperkte hoeveelheid marmer. De wanden van de ruimten waarin de derwisj-pelgrims werden ondergebracht, waren versierd met bloemen en destijds polychroom. Het portaal van steen en marmer is het eerst grote Osmaanse portiek. Ook vermeldenswaardig is het Dar al Shifa, het academisch ziekenhuis uit 1400. |
| Spanish ..... Se refiere al estilo y periodo que coinciden con el reinado de Bayaceto I, 1389-1402, llamado "El Rayo" debido a la velocidad con que maniobraba sus tropas. Es sobre todo conocido por su construcción de la "Gran" mezquita de Bursa, fundada en 1390, pero básicamente finalizada en 1395. Ésta comprende la mezquita, baños y un pequeño palacio dentro de una muralla de forma irregular. El plano y escala de la mezquita es similar a la de Murad I, pero está construida de albañilería de sillares con partes en mármol. Los paramentos de las cámaras, que albergan a los peregrinos derviches, con decorados florales alguna vez policromados. El porche de piedra y mármol corresponde al primer pórtico Otomano. También debe mencionarse el hospital de formación o Dar al Shifa, de 1400. |
