Chinese (traditional) ..... 指發展於西元710年至794年間的時代與風格,當時的第一個固定首都位於奈良,日本正積極師法中華文化。這時期的特色為:中空小瓷像的製作、山上大型寺廟的建造,包括祭祀殿堂與寶塔,與自然相互調和,有別於飛鳥時期的嚴謹建築設計。 
Dutch ..... Verwijst naar de periode en stijl die zich van 710-794 v. Chr. ontwikkelde toen Nara de eerste vaste Japanse hoofdstad was, en waarin de pogingen om de Chinese cultuur naar de kroon te steken op hun hoogtepunt waren. De periode kenmerkt zich door de vervaardiging van kleine lakbeeldjes met een holle kern en door de bouw van grote tempels in de bergen die bestonden uit zalen en pagodes die in harmonie met de natuurlijke omgeving werden geconstrueerd, hetgeen een afwijking betekende van de strenge ontwerpen uit de Asuka-periode.

El período es caracterizado por la producción de las figuras huecas pequeñas y por la construcción de los grandes templos de la montaña, que consisten en pasillos y de las pagodas dispuestas en armonía con la naturaleza, marcando una cambio de los planes rígidos del período de Asuka.
