A Guide to the Description of Architectural Drawings

Subjects/Built Works Categories:

Related People/Corporate Bodies

Related Person/Corporate Body Description
Related Person/Corporate Body Name*
Related Role

These categories record the identities and roles of people and corporate bodies that are related in any way to the subject/built work to which an entry corresponds. Included are architects, engineers, interior designers, contractors, clients, occupants, and owners of the structure.

In modern architectural firms, projects are often the result of collaboration. Therefore, several individuals and the firm itself are often considered to be responsible for a single project. These categories make it possible to record the names of all individuals, firms, and their respective roles.

It should be noted that for design and construction documents, many people and corporate bodies are related to items, subjects, and built works. In these cases, the parties should be named in the appropriate Groups/Items entry.
