Explore the exhibition August Sander: People of the Twentieth Century with students in grades K-2. Adapt the lesson "Remembering Waiting" to motivate students to discuss the types of characters and professions in Sander's photographs and to examine the body language and clothing specific to each. Students will then create a pastel drawing depicting a type of professional and compose a brief narrative about their work.
