Our Stories to Watch: Narrative in Medieval Manuscripts exhibition displays 21 books and leaves with narrative illuminations from different periods and regions, presenting a fascinating variety of pictorial storytelling.
Explore this exhibition with students in grades 4–12 and use the lesson "Telling Stories: Symbols of a Life" to identify the narrative elements in a work of art and learn how artists use symbolic imagery to communicate the larger narrative of a person's life.
