Connections: Asia displays five exceptional works of art made between the fourteenth and eighteenth centuries in China, India, Korea, and Japan with European paintings and sculpture created around the same time in Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, and France.

Introducing Asian artworks on loan from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) into the Getty Museum’s collection galleries, this installation inspires intriguing dialogues—around devotional images, landscape traditions, woodcarving techniques, portraiture, and the trade of luxury goods.
