Note: Born 26 October 1893; died 28 August 1980. Emil Roth studied architecture at the Eidgenössiche Technische Hochschule (Zurich, Switzerland) from 1911 to 1914. He worked on a plan for a skyscraper with El Lissitzky in 1924. He assisted with the Werkbundsiedlung Neubühl (Zurich, Switzerland) and designed the Typ A Reihenhauswohnung mit Dachterrasse (Type A row house with roof terrace) with Carl Hubacher, Werner Max Moser and Rudolf Steiger from 1928 to 1929. He directed the collective responsible for the building project from 1930 to 1932. He also decorated the "Typ O" model apartment in 1931. In 1931, Roth, Max Ernst Haefeli, Carl Hubacher, Sigfried Giedion, Werner Max Moser, and Rudolf Steiger were commissioned by the Schweizerischen Werkbund to decorate model houses and apartments (Wohnaustellung) at the Werkbundsiedlung Neubühl.
