Pokorny, Jan Hird (American architect, 1914-2008)
|
Note: Pokorny's New York firm specialized in restoring historic buildings and adapting them for reuse. He was a member of the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission from 1997-2007. Pokorny fled the Nazis in 1939, becoming a United States citizen in 1945. He earned his master's degree at Columbia University and later taught there. American architect, New York, NY. |
