Note: The artist's appellation derives from the nobleman, Antoine Rolin (ca. 1424-1497), who lived in the Hainault. This anonymous artist painted illuminations in a manuscript owned by this nobleman; the manuscript was of Raoul Lefèvre's 'Recueil des histoires de Troie,' written by Pierre Gousset. The Master of Antoine Rolin seems to have had a large workshop in the town of Mons.
