Mangiarotti, Angelo (Italian architect and designer, 1921-2012)
|
Note: Italian architect and designer graduated from the Milan Polytechnic in 1948. He acted as visiting professor of design at the Illinois Institute of Technology 1953-1954. There he met Walter Gropius, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, and Konrad Wachsmann, and absorbed their theories on form and construction. His architectural work generally involved prefabricated structural elements and reinforced concrete. Notable projects include the Elmag Factory of 1966, housing schemes in Milan and Monza, and his "Eros" tables designed in 1975. Italian architect. |
