Fieger, Carl (German architect and designer, 1893-1960)
|
Note: Carl Fieger was trained as an architect in Mainz. In 1911 he entered Peter Behren's office in Berlin as an interior designer. From 1914 to 1915 and from 1921 to 1934 he worked in Walter Gropius's architectural firm in Berlin, Weimar and Dessau where he held the position of Chief draftsperson and assisted Gropius with the design of the Bauhaus building in Dessau. Fieger worked as an architectural teacher at the Bauhaus in Dessau. After 1934 he worked with various architects on a number of building projects. In 1952 he became a member of the German Academy of Architecture. German architect, assoc. with Walter Gropius. |
