Note: The Toronto firm of Armstrong, Beere & Hime was a partnership of William Armstrong, Daniel Manders Beere and Humphrey Lloyd Hime. The Toronto firm of photographers, engineers and draftsmen began ca. 1851 as Armstrong & Beere. In 1856, Hime joined the firm, was made a partner in 1857, and the firm changed its name to Armstrong, Beere & Hime. Beere left the firm in 1863 for New Zealand, and Hime left probably in 1864 to pursue a career in business.
