Note:
Genk is a town in Limburg province in northeastern Belgium, located on the edge of the Kempen plateau, north of LiƩge. It initially developed as a market center and holiday resort. Prior to World War I, it became an industrial center after rich coal fields were discovered nearby. Its manufactures include metallurgy and automobile assembly. Its population by a 2003 estimate is around 63,100.
