Note: This is a federally-recognized reservation stewarded by the Coyote Valley Band of Pomo Indians. It spans approximately 82.36 acres of trust land in the heart of Mendocino County, Redwood Valley, California. Though the Tribe's original Rancheria was purchased by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 1957 for the Coyota Valley Dam site, the Coyote Valley Tribal Council purchased the Tribe's current reservation land in 1979 using a Community Development Block Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. This reservation land was taken into federal trust status that same year. |
