Studio Courses | Fall 2009 Highlights A wide variety of art courses focusing on history and technique are offered regularly at the Getty Center and the Getty Villa. Drawing from the Old Masters: Foreshortening Foreshortening is using two-dimensional means to create the illusion of three-dimensional projection in space. Join artist Peter Zokosky to explore the dynamics and mechanics of this challenging and rewarding technique. You'll examine original works of art from the collection of the J. Paul Getty Museum at the Getty Center and participate in guided drawing exercises to discover how Old Masters used foreshortening to depict realistic and compelling figures. |
