The Bibliography of the History of Art (BHA) is the world's most comprehensive bibliography of scholarly writing about the history of western art. The BHA is produced jointly by the Getty Research Institute and the Institut de l'Information Scientifique et Technique (INIST) in France. Collaborations with several European and American institutions ensure that a broad range of material is included.
If you are at the Getty Center, you may access the BHA directly from a Research Library computer terminal.
Global use of BHA
Subscribers to BHA include academic institutions and museums. The image shows the locations of subscribers world wide.
