We are deeply saddened by the tragedy that took place on Wednesday night in Thousand Oaks. Out of respect for the students and their families and friends, we will postpone our College Night at the Getty Villa, previously scheduled for Tuesday, November 13. We will announce a new date for the event at a later time.

Inspired by the Underworld where Hades reigns and mythical monsters lurk, College Night welcomes students to explore ancient life and afterlife!

Immerse yourself in the art and culture of ancient Greece and Rome during this special evening of FREE art, music, food and spooky fun. Don't be surprised to meet Cerberos, the Hound of Hades, or confront a blue-faced Etruscan death demon.

Take a closer look at objects dating back thousands of years through specially-themed gallery tours, and glimpse the behind-the-scenes work of conservators who care for ancient objects. Enjoy mixes by DJ Amara and check out art-making stations inspired by cartoonist Krivvy, graphic designer David Lee, and ceramicist Wayne Perry.

Visit featured exhibitions Underworld: Imagining the Afterlife and Palmyra: Loss and Remembrance. Enjoy free grab-n-go food (while supplies last), cash bar, wreath-making, raffle drawings, Museum Store discounts and other surprises! Wear your best toga or stola (Roman gown).
