Saint Nicholas Giving Gold to the Three Maidens (Christian iconography)

Note: Narrative of Nicholas throwing purses of gold or golden balls through a window, in the bedroom of three maidens whose father was too poor for dowries, saving them from an unmarried life and possible prostitution. He delivered the gifts by stealth in order to avoid humiliating the father.
