Rococo Masterpieces in Context: James Pascall—London Frame-Maker, Carver, and Designer The suite of early Rococo furniture made for Temple Newsam—a historic country house near Leeds, England—is astonishing in its sculptural quality. Anthony Wells-Cole, former senior curator at Temple Newsam, explores the context for which this remarkable furniture was made, investigates the genesis of its design, and describes how he restored the great room to which it has been returned.
