Fowx, Egbert Guy (American photographer, born 1821 or 1825, died after 1883 )
|
Note: During the early years of the Civil War, ca. 1860-1863, Fowx worked for the photographer Mathew B. Brady documenting battles along the James River and at City Point, Virginia. In 1863, Fowx left Brady to work for the official photographer for the United States Army, Andrew J. Russell, in Alexandria, Virginia. He later worked for Alexander Gardner, but no dates are known. From 1867 to ca. 1881, Fowx operated a photographic studio in Baltimore, Maryland. |
