Choe Seokhwan (Korean painter, born 1808)

Note: Choe Seokhwan was a painter active in the nineteenth century. He was well versed in painting grapes, landscapes, four gentlemen, and birds and animals. His paintings of grapes in particular earned him great fame at the time. They are characterized by his remarkable compositional and descriptive skills and his powerful brushwork. |
