Note: Active in France. Born in Modena; last documented 1582, died probably in Fontainebleau. Giulio Camillo was the son of Niccolò dell'Abate. He went to France with his father in 1552 and was one of his main collaborators. His name is mentioned in the royal accounts as a painter at Fontainebleau from 1561 to 1577. Giulio Camillo was a supervisor of the paintings in the palace in 1582. |
