Almeida Júnior, Luis Fernandes (Brazilian painter, 1894-1970)

Note: He studied engraving with the painter Francisco Hilarião. He studied Fine Arts with João Batista da Costa. Because of his paintings, he won a prize and traveled to Europe, ended up visiting Rome, Turin, and finally settled in Paris. He participated in some salons and won some prizes. His pictorial production was based on the daily life of Rio de Janeiro, but he painted landscape, portraits and nudes. |

Sua produção pictórica baseou-se no cotidiano do Rio de Janeiro. Além disso, fazem parte de suas pinturas temas paisagísticos, retratos e nus. |
