Pronomos Painter (Attic vase painter, active ca. 420-390 BCE)
|
Note: The Pronomos Painter embellished the sturdy figural style of the Dinos Painter with ornament, polychromy, and gilding. He is named for a volute krater in Naples which depicts (on side A) the company of a satyr play with Dionysos and Ariadne as patrons of the dramatic arts. |
