Note: An art critic and curator at the height of the pop movement in the 1960s best known for his writing appearing in magazines like ARTnews, later he wrote for fringe periodicals including the New York Free Press, where he critiqued the corporatization and de-politicization of contemporary art. He also created actions focused on these critiques including picketing the Museum of Modern Art for an extended period with a large question mark sign. |
