Mirak (Persian calligrapher and illuminator, ca. 1468-1507)
|
Note: Mirak was the teacher of the celebrated Bihzad. He was became the director of the library of Husayn Bayqara, a Timurid Sultan (reigned 1470-1506). Compared to his student, Mirak's figures are more archaic; this is evident in his four illustrations from a copy of Nizami's Khamsa. |
