Parrish Painter (Greek vase painter, active in Campania)

Note: The Parrish Painter is known as one of the most distinguished Campanian vase painters, due to his unique style, and in some cases, inscrutable subject matter. His figures, according to Beazley, bear a relation to Greek free painting or wall painting of the early 4th century BCE. A particular characteristic on nearly all of the Parrish Painter's vases is the rendering of a large flower with dots on the stamen and petals. |
