Evans, Donald (American painter and architect, 1945-1977)
|
Note: Known for his miniature watercolor paintings mimicing postage stamps of invented locales that reflected his personal interests and obsessions. He held a degree in architecture from Cornell University, and worked for Richard Meier's firm, but quit in 1972 to pursue his artwork in Holland. He died at 31 in an apartment fire in Amsterdam. |
