Lemieux, Paul M. (Canadian architect, 1902-1968)
|
Note: Enrolled as a student of Classical Studies at the Collège de Montréal from 1913 to 1920, Lemieux graduated in Arts from the Séminaire de Philosophie de Montréal in 1922. He studied architecture at the Ecole Polytechnique in Montréal. Lemieux received a scholarship from the Province of Quebec Association of Architects in 1925. He was employed briefly in architectural offices in Paris in 1930 while attending courses at the Ecole nationale supérieure des beaux-arts, later graduating with a degree in architecture. He formed a partnership with his father Ludger Lemieux under the firm title Ludger et Paul M. Lemieux in 1931. After the death of his father in 1953, Lemieux continued to practice under his own name, until retiring in 1966. |
