Carlier, François (French architect and decorator, 1707-1760)
|
Note: Fraçois and his father René were in the service of the Spanish kings of the Bourbon dynasty. Together they introduced the late Baroque style of Louis XIV and the taste for French Regency and Louis XV decoration to Spain. Fraçois' main work was the convent and church of the Visitation in Madrid, founded by Queen Barbara of Braganza, the wife of Ferdinand VI. |
