Duarte, Rogério (Brazilian graphic designer, born 1932)
|
Note: Duarte studied theater and fine arts at the Federal University of Bahia, then in 1960 he moved to Rio de Janeiro and studied at the School of Fine Art, the Museum of Modern Art, and the School of Arts of Brazil. After 1961 he worked as a graphic designer, creating film posters and album covers for members of the nascent Tropicália movement. In 1968 he was arrested and tortured by the military government in Brazil. He was later released and continued designing album covers and posters. He published his memoirs in 2003. |
