Turner, Joseph (British architect and builder, ca. 1729-1807)

Note: Joseph Turner and Samuel Turner, probably his uncle, rebuilt Broadlane Hall in Hawarden, Wales, between 1750 and 1757. Joseph Turner lived in Hawarden, Flintshire, Wales, in the 1760s and early 1770s. Turner undertook renovations at Erddig in Denbighshire, Wales, in the 1770s. In 1774, Turner beacame a freemason of Chester and later and alderman of Chester. Turner spent the last quarter of the eighteenth-century practising as a builder and architect in Cheshire and Flintshire.
