Note: A graphic designer, typographer, printmaker; Martens has taught at the Academy of Fine Arts Arnhem and at the Jan van Eyck Academy in Maastrict. Since 1990, Martens has led the design of OASE, a Dutch architecture journal, often with his students from the Werkplaats Typografie at the Arnhem College of Art, which is a fully functioning graphic design studio run by his graduate students.
