Smith, Albert Alexander (American graphic artist and painter, 1896-1940)
|
Note: Born and raised in New York City, Albert Alexander Smith was trained at the National Academy of Design. He entered the Academy in 1915, but had to stop when he served in the army during the first World War during 1918-1919. Smith then returned to the Academy in New York City, where he trained under William Auerbach-Levy and Joseph Pennell. Smith then travelled to Paris in 1922, where he worked further as a graphic artist and etcher until he passed away in 1940. |
