Muhammad Shafi' (Persian painter, active ca. 1628-1674)
|
Note: Muhammad Shafi' made well-known his father's style of bird-and-flower genre painting. He was active in Eṣfahān. He was known for his botanical drawings. Works such as "Bird, Butterflies and Blossom" (1651-1652) are highly influenced by European sources such as English engravings. His style of flower painting had an impact on late 17th-century artists such as Muhammad Zaman and 'Aliquli Jabbadar. |
