Cahn, Henny (Dutch graphic designer, born 1908)
|
Note: Taught by Kiljan and Schuitema in the advertising department of The Hague Academy, Henny Cahn remained faithful to their teachings while using a range of technical and graphic possibilities and variations. He used small illustrative drawings and lower case, capitals, and script letters. Cahn's work was best captured in appliance advertising, such as electric clocks and telephones. His compositions were layered and considered constructivist due to his treatment of space. |
