Bracelli, Giovanni Battista (Italian printmaker, active 1620s-1630s)
|
Note: Several artists by this name are mentioned by Baldinucci, including a painter from Florence who was a pupil of Giulio Parigi and a painter from Genoa who died at age 25. There was also someone with this name nicknamed "il Bigio" and one who was a follower of Jacopo da Empoli and who published some interesting etchings referred to as "Oddities" in Livorno in 1624. The artist from Genoa is distinct from the Florentine, but the other references may all refer to a third person, represented by this ULAN record. |
