Archermos of Chios (Greek sculptor, active ca. 550 BCE or later)
|
Note: Archermos of Chios is credited with sculpting the first winged figure of Nike (Victory) in Greek art; his works were supposedly on the islands of Delos and Lesbos. He was also active in Athens, where, with other well-known island sculptors, he received commissions from the local aristocracy. |
