Painter of the Oxford Ganymede (Etruscan vase painter)
|
Note: Painter of two known stamnoi, probably by the same potter, with mythic scenes on both sides. The Oxford vase, for which this painter was named, features Zeus and Ganymede on one side, and a less careful rendering of Athena and a Giant on the other. The other vase features a scene with Polydeukes and Amykos, and an unidentifiable scene on the other side. |
