Permoser, Balthasar (German sculptor, 1651-1732)
|
Note: Permoser, one of the foremost German Baroque sculptors, was born in Bavaria. He trained in Salzburg with Wolf Weissenkirchner the younger and in Vienna. In 1677, he moved to Florence where he worked for the Medici Dukes in a workshop run by Giovanni Battista Foggini. He spent the duration of his career in Dresden working for the court of the Elector of Saxony. |
