Trémaux, Pierre (French photographer and architect, 1818-1895)
|
Note: In 1840, Trémaux entered the École des Beaux-Arts, Paris, to train as an architect. In 1853, Trémaux travelled to Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Syria, Greece, and Asia Minor to photograph. In 1862, Trémaux published a book entitled "Voyage en Ethiopie, Soudan Oriental et dans la Nigritie". From 1862 to 1868, Trémaux documented the ancient cities of Asia Minor and published his findings in "Exploration archéologique en Asie Mineure". |
