Hennix, Catherine Christer (Swedish-American sound artist, visual artist, and mathematician, born 1948)

Note: Hennix was among the pioneers in Sweden experimenting with main-frame computer-generated sound in the 1960s. In the 1970s she met and collaborated with La Monte Young and Henry Flynt in New York. Through Young she studied with Pandit Pran Nath and from this time has pursued just intonation tuning system, and long form musical drones. She has also acted as a professor of mathematics and computer science.
