Lescher, Artur (Brazilian sculptor, born 1962)
|
Note: Neo-concrete sculptor, he is known for his sculptures dialoguing with the architectural spaces where they are designed. He became famous after participating in the 19th International Art Biennial of São Paulo in 1987. One of his most recent individual exhibitions was the Projeto Octógono, at the Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo, in which his sculpture, a giant dome, dialogued with the architecture of the building, built in 1905. He uses common materials, such as wood, brass, and metal. |

Uma das mais recentes exposições individuais foi no Projeto Octógono, da Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo, na qual sua escultura, uma cúpula gigantesca, dialogava com a arquitetura do prédio, construído em 1905. Utiliza materiais comuns, como madeira, bronze e metal. |
