Tiffany, Young, & Ellis (American retailer, jeweler, and manufacturer, 1841-1853)
|
Note: In 1841, with a third partner, John L. Ellis, the company changed names and added fine European silver, porcelain, crystal glassware, and jewelry. Tiffany established his own jewelry workshop in 1848 and subsequently became one of the greatest merchant-jewelers in the United States. Tiffany took sole control of the firm in 1853. |
