Antin, David (American poet, critic, and performance artist, 1932-2016)
|
Note: Antin received an MA in linguistics from City College of New York. He is known for his "talk poems;" improvised performances that combined storytelling, criticism, and poetry. He taught at the University of California San Diego for 25 years. He received fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities and received the PEN Los Angeles Award for Poetry in 1984. He wrote essays for many periodicals, including Artforum. |
