|
Note: British firm. Founded by Thomas Agnew (1794-1871), who became a partner in the Manchester firm of Vittore Zanetti in 1817, and took over sole control of the business in 1835, opening a branch in London in 1860. The firm was located at 43 Old Bond Street, London, from 1876. The firm became an influential leader in the sale of mezzotints and paintings. |
