Williams, Heathcote (English poet, dramatist, and actor, 1941-2017)
|
Note: Williams used a variety of media to criticize the status quo. He was primarily a writer, producing plays, poetry, and journalism. He founded a magazine with Germaine Greer, and became a proponent of the squatter movement in London in the 1970s. He helped create an anarchist country within London called Frestonia and applied to the United Nations for membership. He appeared as an actor in many films, and for a period later in his life he produced paintings and sculptures. |
