Tommaso Pisano (Italian sculptor and architect, died after 1372)
|
Note: Tommaso was the son of Andrea Pisano and the brother of Nino. Although he is documented only between 1363 and 1372, many scholars believe that he worked with his father and brother in the 1340s. He is noted as one of the first sculptors to express a new style in Pisa, one that moved from the more austere, noble figures in marble to more realistic figures in painted wood. |
